Press Release Summary: It was an art show with a difference. For one, all the four
artists are trained in classical dance and multi tasking women, and for another,
even the person inaugurating the show was a dancer and a successful lawyer. The
show, \'Lighting the Way\', by contemporary artists Dr Alka Raghuvanshi, Manisha
Gawade, Babita Gupta and Anita Kulkarni, opened at Studio Vasant and was inaugurated

beautiful poem on the feminine power to chose who they wish to be.

All the artists are known for their fascinating insight into relationships and
spirituality. Their chosen forms are abstracts and figurative with an interesting
twist. They converged to put on board nearly 50 works that are in vibrant hues and
use metallic colours as symbols of purity.

The art community turned up in good measure to support their fellow artists as did
women multi taskers from other walks of life. Those seen admiring the works were
Mukta Jain, chairperson of the FICCI Flow, wife of the Swedish Ambassador, Delice,
owners of the Metropolitan hotel Kavin Gupta, diplomats Angela and Hans Hoertnagel
from the Austrian Trade Commission, artists Kanchan Chander, Gagan Vij, Niren
Sengupta, Sangeet Gandhi, Baljit Chaddha and Vijay Victor.
